My name is Laura McGinnity and this is my ninth year teaching Kinder in GISD, and my first year at McCoy Elementary. I am so excited to be here in my neighborhood school. McCoy Elementary is a wonderful school with teachers passionate about educating!
I LOVE teaching Kindergarten where I hope to make learning engaging and memorable!
I previously taught at Carver Elementary in Georgetown, and I also taught Kindergarten and First Grade in California.
I have my Education degree from Northern Illinois University, as I am originally from Illinois.
My family has lived in Georgetown since 2006, and my boys have gone through the Georgetown school system. One is a graduate from A&M and employed, and one is a second year law student at University of South Carolina.
In addition to teaching your child, I love spending time with my family, bike riding, playing games, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach!
We are going to have an AMAZING year together.
