Our Principals
Dr. Emily Fraser, Principal
I am Emily Fraser and this is my second year as Principal at McCoy Elementary. I cannot wait to work alongside all of you. A little bit about me: I am a Georgetown girl! I love Georgetown and everything it has to offer. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Travis Fraser, and we have two boys Johnny (9th grade at East View) and Jaxon (3rd grade). We also have two very fun and fat bulldogs named Trissy and Grumpy.
I have a background in early childhood and special education, where I spent the first 11 years of my career. In 2019, I became the assistant principal at Carver Elementary and was then honored to gain secondary experience at Forbes Middle School last year. As assistant principal at Forbes Middle School, I was able to form relationships with our McCoy families who have middle school children as well.
We are designing events and experiences for our students, families, and communities to feel connected to McCoy throughout the 2023-2024 school year.
I am very excited and honored to be a part of the McCoy family. As the year progresses, you can expect open communication and transparency from me and the team. I look forward to meeting you and your child. This is going to be a great year!

Morgan Oberrender, Assistant Principal
My heart is filled with gratitude as I write this letter of introduction to you as the Assistant Principal of McCoy Elementary. As a former student of Georgetown ISD, I am overjoyed to serve as an educational leader within a school community that demonstrates true value in connections, relationships and integrity! It is my honor to collaborate with and serve the precious students, staff members and families of the McCoy Elementary community.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for nearly a decade. I am fortunate to have vast experience developing and empowering students and teachers with diverse backgrounds and experiences to venture out of their comfort zone in order to pursue their growth mindset. Every encounter with each and every individual has continuously shaped who I am as an educator and instructional leader. Education is my absolute passion!
On a personal note, my husband and I met while attending Georgetown High School! We are beaming parents of two beautifully wild girls-Raelynn, a new Pre K Bobcat, and Bennett! These girls are the light of our lives and our “why” for every single thing we do in this life. In my free time, I surround myself with family and friends, although I also enjoy a few (rare) minutes of quiet time to myself for reading and learning.
To my core, I believe that the relationship between families and the school are vital to the success of our students. It is my mission to listen, learn and grow alongside each and every member of our community. I will always make time to listen to ideas and concerns and will be intentional in seeking feedback from all stakeholders. It is my hope to connect with you, as well as nurture a positive and collaborative partnership throughout the school year.
As a team, WE have resiliency. We will focus on supporting student growth through data driven instruction and strengthening relationships within our community around authentic, open and caring communication. Together, we WILL empower and ignite a love for learning within our students.
I genuinely believe ALL of our Bobcats will steadily climb towards greatness as WE work together to develop their academic and social-emotional growth!
Choose Happy!
